There is a medical condition called Exploding Head Syndrome!

People's heads are not actually exploding moments before they go to bed. Instead, people have been reporting to hear a loud explosion, gunshot, or popping sound that originates in their head moments before they fall asleep - or around an hour or two after first falling asleep!
Let's start off by saying that Exploding Head Syndrome is probably NOTHING like what you think it is - and you will most likely be a little disappointed at this strange phenomenon.
Although the noise is incredibly loud, reports say that the noise doesn't cause any physical pain to any of the people that suffer from Exploding Head Syndrome.
However, most people report feeling anxious or afraid before and after an attack. Well, you'd be pretty anxious if you just heard an explosion coming from the inside of your head too.
Doctors aren't entirely sure why people suffer from Exploding Head Syndrome, although some doctors believe that the condition has direct ties to extreme fatigue.
It is most commonly reported in people over the age of fifty, but children as young as 10 have also been diagnosed with the condition!
