Jack Daniel came from a family of twelve children, an created his world famous brewery in 1866 when he was 20 years old. Although, some speculate that the brewery wasn't founded until 1875 - but that doesn't really matter.
Jack Daniel's was born in 1846, the exact date isn't known because the documents are said to have burned in a courthouse fire.
What matters is that Jack Daniel, a man who created a beverage that is to some extent the epitome of manliness, died after he kicked his safe. He cut his toe on the safe, which eventually became infected and he slowly died.
So, why did he kick the safe? Apparently he forgot the combination, which happened often, and he was so frustrated he kicked the safe. It's a good thing his whiskey was already incredibly successful at this point.
